Description:
Jamun, also called Java plum, is a strong fruit tree that grows well in warm areas. It produces dark purple fruits that taste sweet and a little sour. The fruits are healthy and rich in antioxidants. People eat them fresh, make juice from them, and also use them in traditional medicine.
Care Instructions:
Sunlight: Needs full sun but can also grow in partial shade.
Watering: Water moderately. After the tree grows strong, it can tolerate dry conditions.
Soil: Grows best in well-drained loamy soil but can adapt to different soil types.
Fertilizer: Add organic compost or a balanced fertilizer two times a year.
Climate: Grows well in tropical and subtropical climates.
Fruiting: The tree usually starts giving fruit in about 4–5 years. Grafted trees may produce fruit earlier.
