Chinese Croton

Botanical Name: Excoecaria cochinchinensis

Description:

Chinese croton is a beautiful evergreen shrub grown mainly for its colorful leaves. The top of the leaves is shiny green, while the underside is dark red or burgundy, which makes the plant look very attractive. It usually grows about 1–2 meters tall and has a bushy shape. The plant produces small greenish-white flowers, but they are not very noticeable. It is mostly planted in gardens, borders, and pots for decoration.
