Crape Jasmine

Botanical Name: Tabernaemontana divaricata
Description:
Crape jasmine is an evergreen decorative shrub with shiny dark-green leaves and beautiful white flowers shaped like a pinwheel. The flowers can bloom many times during the year in warm areas and may have a light, pleasant smell. Even though it is called jasmine, it is not a true jasmine. It grows in a thick, bushy shape and is often used in gardens, hedges, and for landscape decoration.
Light:
It grows best in full sun or partial shade. Bright light helps the plant produce more flowers, but it can also grow in some shade.
Watering:
Water the plant regularly so the soil stays slightly moist. Do not let the soil become too wet. Let the top layer of soil dry a little before watering again.
Soil:
The plant grows well in fertile soil that drains water easily. Soil with organic matter and a slightly acidic to neutral pH (about 6.0–7.0) is best.
Temperature:
This plant likes warm weather, usually between 20–32 °C. Protect it from frost and very cold temperatures.
Humidity:
It prefers medium to high humidity and grows well in warm, humid places.
Fertilizing:
Use a balanced fertilizer like NPK 10-10-10 every 4–6 weeks during the growing season to help the plant grow well and produce more flowers.
Pruning:
Trim the plant regularly to keep its shape and remove dry or damaged branches. Light pruning after flowering can help the plant grow thicker.
Placement:
It can be planted in garden beds, hedges, pots, patios, balconies, or along borders where it can get good light and warm conditions.
