Description:
Jasmine is a sweet-smelling flowering plant with small white, yellow, or pink flowers. It belongs to the Jasminum group. The plant can grow as a climbing vine or a small bush. People grow jasmine in gardens and pots because of its beautiful flowers and pleasant fragrance. Its flowers are also used in perfumes, tea, and decorations.

Light:
Jasmine grows best in bright light. It likes indirect light or partial to full sunlight. About 4–6 hours of sunlight each day helps the plant grow well and produce flowers.
Watering:
Keep the soil slightly moist but not too wet. Water the plant when the top layer of soil feels dry. In winter, water less because the plant grows more slowly.
Soil:
Use soil that drains water well and is rich in nutrients. Slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0–7.0) is best. Mixing potting soil with compost or perlite helps the plant grow better.
Temperature:
Jasmine grows well in warm temperatures between 15–24°C. Keep it away from very cold air and frost.
Humidity:
The plant likes moderate to high humidity (about 40–60%). You can spray a little water on the leaves or place the pot on a tray with small stones and water to increase humidity.
Fertilizing:
Give the plant a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer. This helps it grow healthy and produce more flowers.
Pruning:
Trim the plant after it finishes flowering. This keeps the plant in shape and helps it grow more branches and flowers.
Placement:
Jasmine can grow in gardens, on trellises, balconies, or in pots indoors near bright windows. Climbing types may need support like a trellis or stick to grow upward.
