Description:
Melaleuca is an evergreen shrub or small tree from the Myrtaceae family. It originally comes from Australia and is often called the tea tree or paperbark tree. The plant has thin, fragrant leaves and soft, brush-like flowers. The flowers can be white, cream, pink, or purple depending on the type. Some species produce tea tree oil, which is well known for its antiseptic and medicinal uses. Melaleuca is also planted in gardens because it looks attractive and can grow in different soil conditions.

Light:
Melaleuca grows best in full sun or very bright light. It usually needs about 6 hours of direct sunlight each day. Some types can also grow in partial shade.
Watering:
Water the plant regularly so the soil stays slightly moist, especially when it is young. After the plant becomes established, it can handle short dry periods, but the soil should not stay completely dry for too long.
Soil:
It grows well in well-drained sandy or loamy soil with organic matter. The plant prefers slightly acidic to neutral soil but can grow in different soils if water drains well.
Temperature:
Melaleuca grows best in warm temperatures between 18–29°C (65–85°F). Many species do not tolerate frost and should be protected from very cold weather.
Humidity:
The plant prefers moderate to high humidity, around 40–60%, which helps it grow well.
Fertilizing:
Use a balanced fertilizer during the growing season, especially in spring, to support healthy growth and flowering. Slow-release fertilizers work well.
Pruning:
Trim the plant sometimes to remove dead or damaged branches and to keep its shape. Pruning also helps the plant grow fuller and bushier.
Placement:
